Mario Nawfal, in his tweet, said that Elon Musk instructed his engineers to deactivate Starlink's satellite communications network during a major Ukrainian offensive. Responding to Mario's tweet, Musk said that the Starlink regions in question were not activated. "SpaceX did not deactivate anything," he said. The X owner also said that he received an emergency request from government authorities to activate Starlink to Sevastopol. "The obvious intent being to sink most of the Russian fleet at anchor. If I had agreed to their request, then SpaceX would be explicitly complicit in a major act of war and conflict escalation," he added.
