A 64-year-old Thailand woman, Arom, was rescued after being strangled by a 13 to 16-foot python for two hours at her home near Bangkok. The incident occurred while she was doing dishes, and the snake suddenly bit her thigh and coiled around her torso. Despite her efforts to free herself, the python's grip tightened. Arom called for help, and a neighbor eventually alerted the police. Authorities, alongside animal control, used a crowbar to strike the snake until it released her. Although Arom was treated for multiple bites, the python escaped before it could be captured.
