A team of three senior Indian embassy officials and an interpreter has arrived at Krasnoyarsk International Airport to assist passengers following an emergency landing by an Air India flight. The flight, AI-183, travelling from Delhi to San Francisco, made a precautionary landing at Krasnoyarsk on July 18 after a potential issue was detected in the cargo hold. The embassy team is coordinating with airport and security authorities, as well as the Russian Foreign Ministry, to provide support to the 225 passengers and 19 crew members onboard. The embassy officials will remain in Krasnoyarsk until a replacement plane arrives to continue the passengers’ journey.
