The house of renowned Bangladeshi folk singer and cultural activist Rahul Ananda was vandalised, looted, and set ablaze amid ongoing violent student protests targeting Hindu minorities. The attack forced Rahul Ananda, his wife, and their teenage son to flee their home. Ananda, the frontman of the popular folk band ‘Joler Gaan,’ had his 140-year-old house in Dhaka’s cultural hub frequently visited by the music community for various events throughout the year.
