Norway, Ireland and Spain on Wednesday, May 22, recognised Palestine as a state amid the Israel-Hamas war. This comes weeks after several European Union countries had argued that a two-state solution is essential for lasting peace in the region. “An historic and important day for Ireland and for Palestine,” said Ireland Prime Minister Simon Harris.
