Taking to X, formerly Twitter, The Nobel Prize said that the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award the 2023 Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel to Claudia Goldin. Notably, Claudia Goldin was awarded the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences "for having advanced our understanding of women’s labour market outcomes." Today's award is the final award of this year's Nobel Prize season. The Economics Award, which was established in 1968, is formally known as the Bank of Sweden Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel.
