On July 13, Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt with injuries to his right ear. He was later seen wearing a bandage. To express support to Trump, his supporters turned up at the RNC wearing ear bandages. Speaking to CBS News on July 17, Arizona delegate Joe Neglia, who also wore the bandage, said: "This is the newest fashion trend.
