Lucy Letby, United Kingdom's "serial killer nurse", has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of seven babies and the attempted murder of six others. Letby was convicted of murdering seven babies and trying to kill six more. Notably, nurse Lucy Letby is said to be one of the most prolific child serial killers in Britain's history. Lucy Letby was not present in court when the judge announced her sentencing. While announcing the sentence, Justice Goss said, "You will spend the rest of your life in prison". On Friday, the 33-year-old former nurse was found guilty of killing seven infants and attempting to murder six others while she was working on the neonatal unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital between June 2015 and June 2016. The nurse is said to have deliberately injected newborns with air, force-fed others milk and even poisoned them with insulin.
