Southern Nevada, including the city itself, experienced rapid thunderstorms and intense rainfall on Friday, September 1, leading to Las Vegas floods. This extreme weather event stuck numerous vehicles and caused power outages, affecting thousands. By evening, Rhodes Ranch had received over 2 inches of rainfall, while South Point at Las Vegas Boulevard recorded more than 1.5 inches of precipitation.
