Amid the ongoing political unrest in Bangladesh, rioters have reportedly set a five-star hotel in Jessore. According to reports, the rioters set the Zabeer International Hotel in the city of Jessore ablaze. At least 18 people are said to have died and more than 50 injured due to the hotel being set on fire. Local news agencies said that the hotel is owned by Shahin Chakladar, an MP of the ruling Awami League party. It is also reported that the protesters also set fire to the politician's house and office.
