Amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Tuesday, October 10, became the first Muslim country to condemn the Hamas attacks on the Israelis. The Foreign Ministry of UAE said that the attacks by Hamas against Israeli towns and villages near the Gaza Strip, including the firing of thousands of rockets at population centres, are a serious and grave escalation. Besides, the Foreign Ministry also urged for diplomatic efforts to prevent a wider regional confrontation. The UAE MOFA also condemned the abduction of Israeli civilians, saying "civilians on both sides must always have full protection".
