Access to the US Capitol complex was restricted after a sizable number of demonstrators calling for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas disrupted one of the House office buildings. A video of the protesters inside the US Capitol was shared by news agency ANI. The protesters sat clapping and singing on the floor in the rotunda of the Cannon House Office Building and held up large banners that read "Ceasefire" and "Let Gaza Live." Several people were arrested in connection to the protests as “protests are not allowed inside the building”, Capitol Hill police said.
