Vietnamese doctors removed a live, 2-foot-long eel from a man's abdomen after it chewed through his intestines. The 31-year-old Indian national was admitted to Viet Duc Hospital in Hanoi on July 27 with severe abdominal pain. Doctors discovered the patient had inserted the eel up his anus earlier that day, and the eel had bitten through his rectum and colon, escaping into the abdominal cavity. Le Nhat Huy, vice director of the Department of Colorectal and Perineal Surgery, reported the incident. Imaging tests, including an X-ray, confirmed the eel's presence. Attempts to remove the eel through the anus were thwarted by a large lime the man had also inserted. Consequently, doctors performed emergency surgery, removing the 25-inch-long, 4-inch-diameter eel and the lime. The patient is now recovering from the ordeal. Man Encounters Python in River While Playing Guitar, Continues To Strum Calmly! Viral Video Will Make You Say 'It Can Happen Only in Australia'.
