Stormy weather With torrential rain, mudslides, and the sporadic sighting of funnel clouds - storm Hilary is having its harshest effects across Southern California and the Desert Southwest. Late Sunday morning, the once-Category 4 hurricane landed as a tropical storm over Mexico's southern Baja California Peninsula. Since then, its strength has been progressively waning. In California and Nevada, two of the states anticipating the greatest effects of Hurricane Hilary, states that emergencies were declared in the region due to the widespread effects of the storm. Devastating videos have occurred from both regions and are currently doing rounds on social media. A video also showed severe flooding in and around Dodgers Stadium. However, a report said the video was just an optical illusion after the team said the stadium didn't suffer any flooding.
