According to the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ), an earthquake of magnitude 5.5 struck southern Iran region on Tuesday, October 17. If reports are to be believed, the quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles). The earthquake's epicentre was near the town of Moshrageh in the Khuzestan province of Ramshir.
