An earthquake of magnitude 6.3 hit Western Afghanistan on October 11, the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ)said. The quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles), GFZ said. There were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property due to the fresh tremors. This comes days after multiple earthquakes struck northwest of the city of Herat on Saturday, killing nearly 3,000 people and levelling thousands of homes.
