In a big announcement, Donald Trump said he would consider offering Tesla CEO Elon Musk a Cabinet post or advisory role in the White House if he wins the upcoming US Presidential Election 2024 scheduled for November. This statement came in response to a question from Reuters regarding a USD 7,500 tax credit for electric vehicles. Trump indicated that he might terminate the tax credit and expressed openness to involving Musk, the co-founder and CEO of Tesla Motors, in his administration. Interestingly, Musk had earlier stated that he supported President Joe Biden in the 2020 polls. However, he changed his stance and supported Donald Trump after an assassination attempt on him.
