A Boeing 737 was compelled to execute an emergency landing in South Africa on Sunday, April 21, following the detachment of one of its main wheels during takeoff. The FlySafair flight, packed with passengers, was forced to land on the runway at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg amidst dramatic scenes. A video of the incident shows smoke billowing from the unprotected wheel hub as the aircraft touches down. Moments later, a loud bang echoes as the plane skids along the runway before finally coming to a stop. The undercarriage and right wing partially collapsed during the incident, as seen in the distressing images.
