The airline confirmed to Reuters that an Air France flight to Paris ahead of the Olympics 2024 opening ceremony was placed on standby during the incident. Approximately two hours later, the alert was lifted, and the airport began to resume operations. In a statement on X, the Basel-Mulhouse EuroAirport announced, “The airport has reopened, and flight operations are gradually restarting. Passengers are requested to contact their airline for information about their flight. We wish you a safe and happy journey.” Earlier, the airport had reported that the terminal was evacuated, and flight operations were temporarily suspended due to the bomb alert.
