The reports were based on a tweet by entrepreneur Dr. Eli David, who later clarified that 'Amit Nakesh' is a Hebrew pun meaning "assassin." David revealed the joke on July 1, yet Turkish media had already run with the story, even labeling the fictitious agent as a colonel. Following the revelation, the media outlets retracted their reports.
