YouTube Premium is raising its subscription prices globally by around 30-50% in certain countries. The price hike will be introduced in countries outside the United States. Netizens reacted to the YouTube Premium price hike in around 15 countries by asking the Google-owned video platform to consider cheaper prices for high schoolers. Another user said, "I'll continue to use an Adblocker until they have a fair price for removing ads." According to reports,  the countries affected by the YouTube Premium price rise are - Sweden, Ireland, Switzerland, Netherlands, Thailand, Indonesia, Colombia, Norway, Belgium, Italy, Singapore, Denmark, Malaysia, UAE and the Czech Republic. In India, YouTube already raised prices by 15-20% in August. The new prices will reportedly be effective from November 2024.
