WhatsApp recently rolled out "passkeys" for iOS users, offering them a more secure way to log in with built-in authentication methods such as Face ID, passcode, or Touch ID. Using WhatsApp passkeys is more secure as they confirm the user's identity. Meta-owned WhatsApp said it "lets us know it's really you". The new WhatsApp feature would allow users to log back into the platform without needing any SMS code. To enable the WhatsApp passkeys, the users need to access 'Settings', go to the 'Account', and finally click the 'Passkeys' option. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the passkeys on WhatsApp could also be used to log back in without requiring an internet connection due to the authentication key on the phone. Meta Apps Register 3.24 Billion 'Daily Active People' on Average, Instagram Threads Registers 150 Million Monthly Active Users.
