Japan's Toshiba planning to lay off 4,000 employees due as a part of its restructuring programme. Last month, it was reported that Toshiba was planning to let go around 5,000 employees and focus on its core areas, according to a report by Times of India. It further said that the restructuring would incur the company $650 million as a one-time cost. The layoff action was aimed to streamline Toshiba's operations. According to Inside Paper's official post on X, the recent announcement of Toshiba layoffs was followed by the delisting of company's shares in September. It was reportedly taken private by a consortium amid multiple crisis. As per reports, The latest round of Toshiba job cuts might be considered to be one of the largest in Japan.
