The Perseverance rover's oxygen-generating experiment, which was carried by the American space agency NASA, successfully completed its mission and produced oxygen on Mars on Wednesday. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)-built MOXIE (Mars Oxygen on-Situ Resource Utilisation Experiment) has produced oxygen for the Perseverance rover for the sixteenth and last time, NASA said on its blog. "The tech demo successfully tested converting Martian CO2 into oxygen, which could help pave the way for future human missions to Mars", NASA wrote in a recent tweet.
