ISRO chief S Somanath, on Saturday, October 21, spoke about the country's Gaganyaan mission. After the uncrewed flight test in the Gaganyaan Mission was rescheduled, S Somanath said the test vehicle lift-off could not happen today. Earlier, the Gaganyaan Test Vehicle - Demonstration (TV-D1) test flight launch was put "ON HOLD" at T-5 seconds. Meanwhile, the ISRO chief also said that the uncrewed flight test vehicle abort mission's launch should be rescheduled very soon. Speaking about the launch being put on hold, ISRO chief S Somnath said, "The lift-off attempt could not happen today...engine ignition has not happened in the nominal course, we need to find out what went wrong.
