Reliance Jio reportedly beaten China Mobile's data traffic consumption and became the world's largest mobile operator. Reliance Jio data traffic was registered 40.9 exabytes in the first quarter of 2024, while China Mobile telecommunication company registered 38 exabytes. According to a report by Business Standard, Jio also held the world's second-largest 5G subscriber base, boasting 108 million users. The report highlighted that Jio AirFiber subscribers showed 13 gigabytes of average daily data usage, 30% higher than JioFiber subscribers. AirFiber demand was also witnessed across 5,900 towns in the country, leading to higher quarterly home installation. The report said that more than 28% of the total wireless data traffic in Reliance Jio was achieved by 5G users.
