Reddit has announced a new contributor program, allegedly inspired by X, formerly Twitter, that will reward users with actual money for sharing viral content on the platform. This program replaces Reddit Gold, the old system that allowed users to show extra appreciation for posts they enjoyed. Currently, the contributor program is available only to users in the United States who are 18 years or older and can verify their identity through Persona and Stripe.
