Sony launched its new PlayStation 5 Pro or PS5 Pro gaming console on November 7, 2024, promising users the most advanced gaming experience. Sony PS5 Pro featured an upgraded GPU with advanced ray tracing and PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution. It comes with one USB type-C port offering 10Gbps speed, a type-C port for high-speed USB, two USB type A-ports with 10Gbps speed and the ability to enable PS5 Console Sharing and Offline Play. The gaming console will support synching DualSense controller, Edge controllers, Pulse Elite Headset, Pulse Explore and PlayStation Portal. Sony PS5 Pro's price is USD 699 (around INR 58,000), and it has a design similar to that of the PS5 gaming console. Sony PlayStation 5 Pro offers 2TB storage for installing games. The gaming console will not be launched in India due to regulatory concerns as it uses a 6GHz wireless band under IEEE 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7), which is restricted in India and other markets, according to reports. However, once the government approves the 6GHz band, it may be introduced in India.
