Phishing Attack on X: Suhel Seth on Elon Musk’s Platform Receives Spam Message From ‘Executive X’ About His Content Violating Copyrights and Account Suspension; Check Details
A user on Elon Musk's platform received a message about getting his account suspended soon due to copyright violations.
Elon Musk's X purged over 150 million bots in April 2024, aiming to act against users using bots to produce content. The X platform encourages people to write original content for creativity and engagement. However, an X user called SUHEL SETH (@Suhelseth), author and actor, shared information about receiving a message about his account violating the copyrights. He shared his complaint with X-owner Elon Musk, asking why he received such a message despite offering original content. An account named "Executive X" sent a message to Suhel Seth, "Your account is currently being investigated for violating our copyrights. Please fill out the form below so we can check whether your account belongs to you." Executive X was also intimidated that Suhel's account would be suspended if he did not respond within 24 hours. The message likely hints at a phishing scam on the X platform. The users replied on Suhel's message by calling it a spam and advised to block that account.
