OpenAI shared an important update about the development of its advanced Voice Mode, which was demonstrated during the Spring Update event. The Sam Altman-run company said it planned to roll it out in alpha to a small group of ChatGPT Plus users in late June; however, it would still take a month. OpenAI said it had been working to improve the model's ability to detect and refuse certain types of content and enhance user experience. The ChatGPT developer said that it would need to prepare its infrastructure to scale to millions and, at the same time, maintain real-time responses. The company reiterated that ChatGPT's advanced Voice Mode could understand and respond with "emotions" and "non-verbal cues". OpenAI said it would help it reach close to real-time and natural conversations with AI. Meta and Lamini AI Partner To Bring Code Recipes for Finetuning Factual LLMs, Build Powerful Applications With Llama 3.
