OpenAI has appointed a retired U.S. Army General and Former head of NSA to the board of directors. Paul M. Nakasone with years-long experience in cybersecurity was appointed to protect OpenAI systems from increasingly sophisticated bad actors.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman announced the appointment of Paul Nakasone, a retired U.S. Army General, to the Board of Directors. Paul Miki Nakasone is a leading expert in cybersecurity, technological advancement and global cyber defence. With his experience, the retired army general is expected to help OpenAI deliver its mission of protecting systems from increasingly sophisticated bad actors.
