Koo, a social media app introduced as a rival to Twitter in 2020 by Indian entrepreneurs Aprameya Radhakrishna and Mayank Bidawatka, is now shutting down. The app started as the first Indian microblogging platform that allowed similar functionality as the Twitter, before it was acquired and renamed by Elon Musk as "X". Koo is shutting down due to the failure of acquisition by Dailyhunt after a long conversation. Mayank Bidawatka, co-founder of Koo, posted on LinkedIn, "Here's the final update from Aprameya Radhakrishna and I, regarding Koo. Thank you for all the well wishes and support these last 4 years" He further said, "the little yellow bird says its final goodbye..."
