Julian Assange To Be Back on X? Here's What Elon Musk Replied to User's Question on Reactivation of Wikileaks Founder's Account
An X user posted if Wikileaks founder Julian Assange would reactivate his X account. Elon Musk asked in reply to this user about the reason for the deactivation of his account.
Wikileaks posted on X informing that its founder Julian Assange was freed and had left Belmarsh maximum security prison in the morning on June 24, 2024. An X user 'ALX (@alx)' posted on X asking whether Julian Assange's X account would be stored. He said, "I wonder if @JulianAssange will reactivate his 𝕏 account". X-owned Elon Musk replied in his post, "Why is it deactivated?" to which ALX replied by attaching a report by the New York Post. The report published on December 25, 2017, highlighted that the Twitter account of the Wikileaks founder had mysteriously disappeared. The report did not mention whether Twitter (now called X) deactivated his account or did it himself. Searching the Twitter account "@JulianAssange" page displayed a message - "Sorry, that page doesn't exist". ALX said that Julian Assange's Twitter account must have been deactivated.
