Flipkart has launched its new UPI app, ' Super.Money' in India for Android as a beta. The Indian e-commerce giants' new Super.Money app aims to offer services like instant pre-approved loans and superCard, which would offer up to 5% cashback on all UPI scan and pay merchant transaction. The Super.Money app's superCard services will also provide 9% interest on the deposit annually with the launch of Super.Money app is a beta app, and the company reportedly took on the former group from PhonePe. Moneycontrol said Flipkart's new SuperMoney app launch suggested the company's aggressive intent in the fintech industry. Currently, UPI payments are reportedly dominated by PhonePe, Google Pay, and Paytm, which account for around 95% of the market. The report said that Flipkart always wanted its payment platform; however, it did not launch any separate services due to PhonePe, which it acquired in April 2016. But on December 23, 2022, the e-commerce giant completed total separation from PhonePe, according to its official post.
