Elon Musk’s X Fined 7,00,000 Brazilian Reais for Not Complying With Censorship Orders by Brazil Supreme Court Justice Alexandre De Moraes
Alexandre De Moraes, Brazil Supreme Court Justice has imposed a fine of 7,00,000 Brazilian reais on Elon Musk's X platform for not complying with censorship orders on posts made on politicians of the country.
Brazil's Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes imposed a fine of 7,00,000 Brazilian reais on Elon Musk's X for not complying with censorship orders on posts that criticised politicians. The allegations on X began in April when the Brazil SC Justice Alexandre de Moraes opened an investigation into the platform for fake news and alleged obstruction. The Supreme Court judge ordered the X platform to delete posts within two hours or face a fine of 1,00,000 Brazilian reais. Elon Musk's X withheld the posts in Brazil, but Alexandre de Moraes increased the fine to 7,00,000 Brazilian reais and justified the fine per post. X argued that the increase imposed by the SC justice was 'ex post facto' and contradicted the original order. Elon Musk Says ‘Our Greatest Dream Is To Send a Spaceship to Uranus’.
