In response to Hurricane Helene, Elon Musk's Starlink delivered more than 10,000 kits offering connectivity in the affected areas. The satellite internet company, along with T-Mobile, activated 'Direct to Cell' satellites that offered people emergency alerts for all their phones and carriers. Besides, the US FCC also approved emergency special temporary authority for coverage in Florida ahead of Hurricane Milton.
