Elon Musk said that X would not comply with the DMCA takedown initiated by CNN over the use of the Presidential debate. The X owner said that public has right to the debates however they want.
Elon Musk said that its social platform X would not comply with DMCA takedowns by CNN during the Presidential debate. A user on X 'Tim Pool (@Timecast) posted if the live documentary and fact-checking shows for the CNN debates were to be taken down if CNN filed a DMCA or if it would default to fair use and handle this matter externally. This post was made in response to the user's own previous post, which read - "CNN is now threatening any social channels that provide commentary on the debate, stating they will now allow the use outside of CNN".
