Elon Musk's SpaceX posted on X that Starlink is now on a mission to provide 'Direct to Cell' capability that will boost global connectivity and help eliminate dead zones. The new Starlink Direct to Cell will allow users "seamless access to text, voice and data for LTE phones across the globe." Elon Musk reacted to SpaceX's post, saying, "This will allow for mobile phone connectivity anywhere on Earth." He further said on X that it would support 7Mb per beam, and beams would be "very big", allowing users to connect from locations without cellular connectivity.
