A CRED user, Gurjot Ahluwalia, posted on X about receiving Rs 1 cashback when he paid a credit card bill of Rs 87,000. He further said to stop sharing data with CRED. Netizens commented and shared more details.

Gurjot Ahluwalia, a user on X, posted that he made a credit card bill payment of Rs 87,000, and he said he received Rs 1 from CRED. He criticised and called it a "maha cashback". The user said, "Time to stop sharing data with Cred and pay directly from the bank portal. In response, some users replied to Gurjot Ahluwalia that he should have done that long ago. Muthoot Microfin CEO Sadaf Sayeed (@Sadafsayeed) replied, "Should have done that longa long ago." He said CRED was pulling Gurjot's data and selling to the Fintech lenders. He further added, "hope you didn't allow the email access, which they insist so vehemently ."
