The Brazil flood devastated the lives of many people and caused the death of 90 people in the outskirts of Eldorado do Sul, a municipality state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. According to a report by Zee News India, a young boy named Ricardo Junior, affected by the 2024 Rio Grande do Sul floods, said they had been out of food for three days and had only a blanket. The report highlighted that the death toll rose to 90, and four deaths are under investigation. The Rio Grande do Sul floods of 2024 reportedly rendered 1,55,000 people homeless, 131 people unaccounted for and dozens of people waiting to be rescued.
