An X user (@kiraataka_2) on July 8 shared a screenshot, saying, “Just type "Police irt" on Google Maps and thank me later.” Another user (@pravi_py) also mentioned “People in Bengaluru are marking where traffic police are on Google Maps to help others avoid fines.”  The drivers of the city might be to spot the locations on their smartphones, revealing areas regularly patrolled by traffic police. By searching keywords like "Police irt" drivers can reportedly see alerts on Google Maps and plan alternative routes to avoid Traffic Police.
