Ukrainian boxer Vyacheslav Uzelkov has died at the age of 45. The former champion had recently undergone heart surgery and was recovering.

Considered as one of the finest boxers of his generation Vyacheslav Uzelkov had won 30 out of his 34 fights. He also recorded 19 knockouts in his career. Ukraine’s decorated boxer was the WBA Inter-Continental, WBO Inter-Continental light heavyweight, and IBO International champion. After retiring from the sport in 2014, 'Steel Power' had recently undergone heart surgery and was recovering. Ukraine's boxing federation paid tribute after the demise of the star and wrote, “Ukrainian boxing has suffered a heavy loss - Vyacheslav Uzelkov has passed away.
