The star wrestler returned to the country after the heartbreak at the Paris Olympics 2024 and was given a hero's welcome when she landed at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. Phogat subsequently conducted a roadshow as well alongside Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik. The 29-year-old made history at the Paris Olympics 2024, becoming the first Indian female wrestler to enter the final of the Olympics, but, in a dramatic turn of events, was disqualified due to being overweight by just 100 grams.
