Vinesh Phogat has created history! She assured India of atleast a silver medal at Paris Olympics 2024 as she enters the final of women's wrestling 71kg event on Tuesday, August 6. The star grappler defeated Cuba's Yusneylis Guzman Lopez 5-0 in the semifinal for a spot in the final. She is going to have the rare opportunity to win gold at the event. She is also the first Indian female wrestler to enter the final of the Olympics. Phogat had underwent a knee surgery last year and she will now look to carry on this good form in the final of the event and win the elusive gold medal.
