Nagal's exit from the French Open 2024 signalled the end of India's challenge in the men's singles category at the Roland Garros this year. Nagal had earlier made it to the second round of the Australian Open in 2024, becoming the second Indian to win a match against a seeded opponent at a Grand Slam.
