Ons Jabeur booked a semifinal berth in the US Open 2022. She became the first African woman to achieve the feat in the Open era.

Ons Jabeur made history in the US Open 2022 as she became the first African woman tennis player to enter semifinals of the Grand Slam event in the Open era. Jabeur beat 6-4, 7-4 Ajla Tomljanovic in the quarterfinals. She will now face Caoline Garcia in the semifinals at Flashing Meadows.
