This happened after he beat Corentin Moutet to progress to the next round at Italian Open 2024. He was signing autographs for fans as he was making his way out of the Centre Court, the venue which hosted the match when a fan leaned forward and the bottle, which was kept in his bag, slipped and fell on the Serbian's head. Djokovic instantly went down in pain in the area, the video of which has gone viral on social media. However, the Italian Open 2024 organisers later issued an official statement on this incident wherein they stated that Djokovic's 'condition is not a cause for concern'.
