Dominic Thiem, Defending Champion, Pulls Out of US Open 2021 With Wrist Injury (Check Post)
Thiem had won his first Grand Slam title last year at the US Open and it is unfortunate that he would part of this year's competition. He said that an injury to his recovering wrist, during training last week forced him to take this decision.
Dominic Thiem, Austrian tennis player, said that he wouldn't be able to participate in this year's US Open owing to a wrist injury. Taking to Twitter, he shared a long message in which he wrote, "It has been a tough decision to make but I know this is what I have to do."
