Team India at Tokyo Olympics 2020 Recap of July 29: Check Out India’s Medal Tally and All Event Results

The day began on a bright note with the Indian men's hockey team defeating defending champions Argentina 3-1. PV Sindhu cruised into the quarter-finals with a win over her Danish opponent Mia Blichfeldt and then Atanu Das defeating former Olympic champion Oh-Jin Hyek to progress in archery. Boxer Satish Kumar won too.

India had a good day at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics 2020 with athletes like Atanu Das, PV Sindhu, Satish Kumar, and the men's hockey team shining in their respective competitions. However, there was disappointment later in the day when veteran boxer Mary Kom, competing in her last Olympics, was knocked out by Ingrit Valencia in the round of 16 clash in the women's 51kg boxing event.
