Suchika Tariyal Wins Gold Medal in Adults Ju-Jitsu Contact Female -63 KG Category at JJIF World Championships 2024

The 34-year-old put up an impressive performance against her Ukrainian opponent to win the gold medal. The JJIF World Championships 2024 is being held in Greece from October 24-29.

Suchika Tariyal won the gold medal in Adults Ju-Jitsu Contact Female -63 kg category at the JJIF Ju-Jitsu World Championships 2024, held in Heraklion, Greece. The judoka registered a victory over her Ukrainian opponent Syvch Oleksandra in the final to clinch the top prize on offer. At the Commonwealth Games in 2022 which was held in Birmingham, Suchika Tariyal had missed out on the bronze medal in the women's 57 kg judo after losing to Mauritius' Christianne Legentil. In 2019, she had won the gold medal in the 57 kg category at the Commonwealth Judo Championship in Great Britain.
